Here’s Red and Rufus on the pasture with our dairy cows. |

|
When we got married in August of 2000 our most unique wedding gift was a Hereford heifer. It was given to us by Bill’s grandfather who had heard that Kelly thought they we so incredibly cute. When we brought her home, we purchased a second heifer as a friend for her, and so our beef cow herd was started. We had Scarlet and Red artificially inseminated and while Scarlet never settled, Red gave us our first beef herd sire, Rufus. |
|
Our herd currently consists of nearly 80 spring-calving beef cows. We rotationally graze on a number of different pastures on our ranch as well as on nearby wildlife management areas through a contract with the local US Fish and Wildlife Service. |

“Luke the Drifter” one of our current herd sires. |

Our cows assist the local USFWS with grassland management. |
